In 2010, myself and nine other girls from the class went to
Florida for our work placement. We arrived in Jacksonville in mid January and
stayed till July. During this time we learned a number of skills. Many of us
started out in the banquets department where we learned how to serve a whole
host of different people, from weddings to gala dinners and huge charity
events.
Sawgrass is legendary for its golf grounds which plays host
to the TPC tournament every year. We were able to meet (come in close contact)
with many golfing superstars, which was a real treat.
The weather was amazing, the beaches were beautiful and the
atmosphere was fantastic. We all had an
absolute ball and had great experiences we can remember forever.
